Mellizoz is derived from the Spanish word mellizo
We pronounce it [may-E-so] - meaning fraternal twins. There are currently 9 sets of Mellizoz in the family!
The Mellizoz announced their much anticipated arrival to Austin, Texas in 2006. From 2006-2007, the menu and concept was in the works and in December 2008 the 42' food trailer parked off South First Street and opened on a cold winter's day. With lots of help from family and friends to get this kitchen on wheels rolling, Mellizoz stands strong as one of Austin's veteran food trailers. Mellizoz prides itself on exceptional service and fresh food. Tacos, tortas, made to order guacamole, and hand-cut garlic fries are some of the enticing menu items served seven days a week.
*Due to Covid-19, the trailer is no longer on S. 1st, but our roaming truck is all over Austin for catering and events via our SISTER RESTAURANT, CRUZTECA MEXICAN KITCHEN.
